We’ve had a tremendously enjoyable and rewarding journey with the Stockland Group over the past 15 or so years including providing Project Visioning and Masterplanning solutions for their North Shore project together with a wide range of Visualisation and Digital Storytelling services for products such as Bayswood, North Lakes Business Park, North Shore, Ellida, Bells Reach, Kawana and more recently, Caloundra South.
Over the years, we’ve shared an exceptional journey with the Medallist team (joint venture between Macquarie Bank and Great White Shark Enterprises) and then later, Urban Pacific. In the early years, we were very heavily involved in the Project Visioning, Masterplanning, Urban Design projects such as Brookwater, The Vintage, Stonecutters Ridge, Cranbourne and The Eye of Africa just to name a few. In addition to the Masterplanning of course, we’ve also assisted very heavily in effective communication of the vision of these projects for community consultation, approval and of course, sales.
Our role with Australand has been more focused towards 3D visualisation and digital storytelling on a number of projects including Cova, Ambience, Link and Yungaba House.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with the team from Niecon as they influenced many aspects of the Gold Coast residential high rise property market. Some of the projects that we were privileged to be a part of include The Oracle, Nirvana and Reflections.
As some of you may already be aware, V2i have had a long and enjoyable relationship with many of Indonesia’s largest development companies over the past 15 or so years. For the past 15 or so years, it’s been a great journey within the International arena for V2i, where we’ve worked on projects throughout Asia, South Africa and the UAE.
In 2010 3Dme collaborated with respiratory physiology academics from Griffith University, Queensland, Australia to create a short, yet engaging and scientifically accurate visual story of a concept that most medical and health science students struggle to understand; ventilation perfusion matching. This is a wonderful example of a project where our team successfully worked with academic content validators to tell the story in a creative, engaging and accurate way. Anecdotal evidence plus objective and subjective classroom data collection revealed a positive trend in student comprehension and interest in this topic. The video was a 2010 Global Awards Finalist for ‘science video’. The initial 7 minute 3D HD video was then expanded on with questions and answers and the iPhone and iPad version was released in October 2011. The iMedicalApps review in 2012 stated “The video is indeed detailed and very impressive”. In 2013 the iPhone and iPad App won a Gold Communicator Award for App Excellence and Distinction. The app is available for download from iTunes and can be viewed individually or presented in a lecture room setting to a larger audience.
Gold Coast Spine is home to globally recognised Spinal Surgeons. After meeting with 3Dme in 2011 to gain an understanding of our ability to comprehend complex information and present it in a scientifically accurate yet engaging way, we were initially commissioned to produce a surgically accurate animation of a Total Disc Replacement (TDR) for patient education. The surgeon requested animations with text but no voiceover, so he could customise his conversation to specific patients as he spoke over the video. After establishing credibility by successfully producing a visualisation of this procedure, 3Dme were subsequently commissioned to produce animations for additional spinal surgery procedures including Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) and Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF).
In 2010 the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Australia engaged 3Dme to produce a patient education video for people newly diagnosed with MS. Our production team collaborated with MS Australia Clinical Nurse Educators to validate the anatomy and physiology of the 3D content. 3Dme's animation of the pathophysiology of multiple sclerosis featured in the 2012 release of David Suzuki's "Nature of Things" CBC documentary "MS Wars - Hope, Science and the Internet". The initial 7 minute 3D HD video was then expanded on with questions and answers and the iPhone and iPad version was released in 2012. Our ‘MS 3Dme’ App is included in Healthline’s 15 Best Multiple Sclerosis iPhone and Android Apps.
After reviewing some of 3Dme’s community health education productions and capabilities, the Drug Education Board of the Australian Lions Drug Awareness Foundation were interested in collaborating to produce a DVD to sell to Australian and New Zealand schools and libraries and return revenue to the Clubs to fund ongoing drug awareness initiatives. The 7 minute video was a 2011 Global Awards Finalist. Funds raised for ALDAF in the first 5 months after DVD release exceeded $20,000 and the DVD continues to be one of their most sought after items. In 2010, 3Dme was awarded the Gold Coast Mayors’ Corporate Social responsibility Award, primarily for raising funds for drug awareness in initiatives.
In 2010, well known Cardiac and Transplant Surgeon and Registrar Educator Dr Peter Tesar used a head camera to record an aortic valve replacement procedure as he operated on a patient. Dr Tesar trains and educates surgeons and requested that 3Dme produce a surgically accurate representation of this procedure including accurate anatomy and suturing techniques, which he could talk over whilst teaching trainee surgeons. Dr Tesar has presented this video at a number of international Cardiac and Transplant surgery Educational Conventions. This example demonstrates our ability to comprehend complex medical information and reproduce it in a visually appealing, accurate manner.
3Dme were engaged by the University of Queensland to create a presentation to capture the attention of people as they entered the university’s Pathology Learning Centre. Our Creative team collaborated with academics for content validation and the result is a 7 minute 3D HD video which is broadcast on the big screen at the entrance to UQ’s Pathology Learning Centre.

This platform has been built upon the digital ecosystem work that we have completed in the mining sector over the past few years which won the National highest innovation award.
Professor Selena Bartlett developed the Brain Vitality Index as a way of thinking about and measuring brain health in a similar way to the way Body Mass Index is used to measure physical health. Selena and her business partner Jacinta Rashford worked with 3Dme to develop a mobile app and associated real time data analytics accessible via the BVI web page that allows users to record and monitor their BVI several times a day allowing them to identify key issues surrounding their brain health and work to make changes to improve it. This release is intended to generate interest and feed back to assist Selena and Jacinta with the further development of the next phase of the BVI product development.

Over the years, many groups have come to us with existing content and asked us to prepare digital stories to help effectively communicate an opportunity or an outcome. As opposed to some of the presentations that you’ll see under V2i above, these presentations are those that we’ve put together using existing collateral. Our main role has been simply to help prepare an engaging digital story for the market place.
